Winter 2018 – Upcoming Anime

With the winter season now weeks away from finishing, I thought I’d have a look at what’s coming out next season and to my surprise, it looks like there’s some pretty interesting stuff. Lots of second seasons and stuff but as always, I’ve cut out all returning shows so this is just a list of the new shows coming out. It still looks like a pretty good list. As always, this is isn’t a list of shows I’ll be watching but simply a list of shows that are coming out next season that look decent. Also, all the synopsis are from

2105 A.D. Japan

The humanoid android hiE became part of people’s life and was handling the things human could and couldn’t do. Endou Arato, unlike his friends Kenko and Ryou who hate hiE, felt sympathy for hiE which are supposed to be just objects. One night, Arato suddenly gets assaulted by mysterious falling cherry blossoms that make hiE and machines run havoc. Will the cornered Arato be saved by the mysterious hiE Lacia…

Death March kara Hajimaru Isekai Kyousoukyoku

29-year-old programmer Suzuki Ichirou finds himself transported into a fantasy RPG. Within the game, he’s a 15-year-old named Satou. At first he thinks he’s dreaming, but his experiences seem very real. Due to a powerful ability he possesses with limited use, he ends up wiping out an army of lizard men and becomes a high leveled adventurer. Satou decides to hide his level, and plans to live peacefully and meet new people. However, developments in the game’s story, such as the return of a demon king, may cause a nuisance to Satou’s plans.

Grancrest Senki

The story takes place on a continent ruled by chaos. The chaos breeds disaster, but the Lords of the continent have the power of “Crest” (a Mark of the Saint) that can calm the chaos and protect the people. However, one day the rulers throw away their creed of protecting the people, and instead start to fight each other with their powers to gain dominion over each other. The novels center on Silka, an isolated mage who scorns the Lords for abandoning their creed, and a wandering knight named Theo, who is on a journey to train to one day liberate his hometown, which is under tyrannical rule. Silka and Theo make an everlasting oath to each other as master and servant, and work together to reform this continent dominated by wars and chaos.

Hakata Tonkotsu Ramens

At first glance, the Fukuoka city seems like a peaceful one, but under the surface, crime is running rampant. The city’s Hakata ward is home to the professionals of the underworld: professional killers, detectives, informants, professional revenge seekers, those skilled in torture, and more. And according to urban legend, even a “killer of professional killers” exists in the city. When stories of the men in the underworld are told, a “professional killer murder” appears.

Hakumei to Mikochi

Nine centimeters (3.5 inches) tall, the tiny girls Hakumei and Mikochi live in the forest. Living in a tiny house in a tree, riding insects and birds, and making umbrellas out of leaves, these tiny girls live a tiny life. Follow their tiny but lovely lives as they live their day to day in a fantastic world of tiny people and gods.

Koi wa Ameagari no You ni

Akira is an aloof and cool girl that used to be in the track club of her school. Right now she is working as a part-timer in a family restaurant next to her crush, the manager….a 45 year old divorced man.
